How long does SEO take?

This is a very common question we hear as SEO Consultants. Some customers tell us that companies “guarantee” rankings within 3 months. Anytime a company “guarantees rankings” its time to look for a new company. The fact is that there are many factors in SEO. How competitive is the term you are looking for? How old is your website? Do you already have rankings for any keywords? How strong is your Domain Authority? These things and more can affect how quickly you can rank on keywords. Generally you should start to see results in three months, but it can take six months or even a year. That is why it is very important you are using the right SEO company. You could waste money for 6 months and not get anywhere.
